Is there a easy and fast solution to add some text on the invoice layout.
Here in Belgium on your invoices you are obligated to print your VAT number and the customer’s VAT to.
Other referrals are also needed.
Any quick solutions for this matter?

Thanks

Anthony

Anthony – use the ‘notes’ field on the invoice’s Details screen.

Thanks Seth for the quick solution.
Will you for see this in the Html – Css based template for the end of 2007?
What also a good feature would be is to be possible to add the “TAX %” in the companies profile in stead then by each invoice.

Anthony – with the HTML/CSS solution you’ll be able to add whatever static text you want to all of your invoice documents.

I would like to second Anthony’s question. In this country it is mandatory to have the client’s VAT registration number on every invoice. So it would be great if we could include that in the client’s company profile. Using the notes field is not really so great as i’d like to use the note field for real “notes” about the invoice.

Hi Seth, sure, but is there a way to have the client’s VAT registration number show up on the invoices automatically?

No, only yours. You’ll need to add your client’s VAT to the notes section per invoice.

I might make it possible to set default notes to an invoice if you create from a schedule, but don’t quote me on that ;)

Aaah damn. I sure understand you can’t fulfill everyone’s demands, but I thought just one extra line in the client’s field wouldn’t be that bad at all. If you call it “extra field” or something like that, it might come in handy for everyone. In some EU countries for VAT registration numbers, someone might use it as an extra phone field, someone else for a client note….

Real pity. But as said before, I do understand it. Just too bad it makes Cashboard rather useless (or not that easy to use) in my country.
