Hi There,

How do you add a signature into a template and populate the ‘print name’ area?

I have looked into your tutorials and the only reference I have found is ‘Upload an image of your signature to make them more personalized’ but it doesn’t actually say where and how? Is this editable in the Cashboard interface or to be hard coded into the template?

When I preview a PDF version of the estimate the areas are there but blank?

Any help would be great,

Thanks!

Unfortunately at this time we don’t offer customization of that area on the estimate document. We have to keep this under our control so when your client views it on the internet they can fill in a form to indicate their agreement.

What you can do however, is add your signature to the end of the html_estimate document, which will place it right above that area. I’ve emailed you with how to insert images in response to your earlier inquiry. Please check your inbox for more information.

Concerning signature on estimates…
First of all please share with the whole class when you respond to a question…
“I’ve emailed you with how to insert images in response to your earlier inquiry. Please check your inbox for more information.”
I and many others could have gotten our answer if it were posted and not emailed to one person.
Now I will wait for information on how to insert a signature into the estimate template.
(sorry if I sound gripy)
Expanding on the Signature question.
I have a logo image set… how do I add a signature image with losing the logo image… I hope the answer is that you can have both or link to an image.

More about Signature…
When I click “Print Preview(PDF)” I see a Client Signature area on the Estimate pdf and date of signature space at the bottom. Yet when I email the estimate and tick attach PDF ~ that Client Signature/date are is not present… the purpose of an attached version of the estimate (besides a downloadable record) is/or should be (in my opinion) to offer the option for a client download, print, sign and mail the estimate agreement if they prefer… I prefer they do it online as it is faster and recorded automatically, but I know some clients will just go for the attached PDF.

Even better… as a test client I have gone to the estimate link in my test email and wondered why there isn’t a Signature process available on the online version… something like RightSignature.com providing a means for clients to mouse in, or type in a verifiable digital signature with notice to me that the document has been signed. I suppose this is a feature request! The same digital signature could be available for me to sign as well as I create a document.

Otherwise I am really liking GetCashBoard and am likely to keep the service because it seems more flexible and complete than many of the others and I like the price structure of the service.

Keep up the good work.

Hey Papillion – thanks for the feedback and glad you’re enjoying the program.

I emailed you because you both sent an email and then made a forum post and I got your email first. :)

Anyway, – mind making your feature request here?
