I did not see any way to specify whether a recipient receives plain text or HTML emails, so I assume there is no option for this. Has this feature been mentioned or discussed before?

Would be interesting to know indeed. I’ve been wondering about this as well. I suspect that my mail client would make it html when seeing tags, though I’m not so sure when seeing Content-Type: text/plain;
