From my timesheet, I bill my hours from Sunday through Saturday. At the top of the invoice, I’d like to specify the date range, such as

12/06/2009 – 12/12/2009

Is this possible?

Bryce, yes it’s possible to specify dates you’d like to invoice for when importing time entries.

Simply do the following

  • Go to the Create menu at the top of the screen, select Invoice
  • Select the client who you’re billing
  • Scroll down to the area on your invoice that reads Import Time and Expenses
    • If you have time pending, you’ll see different projects you can import from
  • Select Custom from the Date Range dropdown, then enter your dates
  • Select which projects you’d like to import time entries from
  • Press the Save button at the bottom of the screen

I’m sorry, I reread my question and realized that I asked the wrong thing. I meant, I wanted to put in the invoice header, something like:

Invoice: 000001
Week of: 12/06/2009 – 12/12/2009

[details down here]

Unfortunately there’s no way to put that in the header.

However, you can just type that into the invoice notes field and it will appear on your invoice.

That actually might work good. For this particular time sheet, I’d type the date range in the notes, and use that as the
Week Of: { invoice.notes }

Or something like that… I’ll play around with that…

Thanks.
