Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / How to hide paid invoices from list? Hi Heather, thanks for the suggestion. You can’t “hide” unpaid invoices by default, but you can filter your paid vs unpaid invoices multiple ways. All you need to do is either

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / A bug with late fee calculation? Sorry Karine my apologies – the best way to get support is to contact us directly via email. I totally missed this post. Anyhow, I’m not aware with a problem with this but I will look into it when I get a chance. Unfortunately we do not offer any way to exclude late fees from taxes. It’s just not possible with the software. |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / OS X Dashboard widget sends wrong time to Cashboard Have you recently changed your time rounding preferences? PS: We refer to that app as the “OS X Timer Widget”…“cashboard dashboard” is a bit much :) |

Topic: API / account balance api There’s no way to get that info via the API right now. I’m working on that area and will get it in there. Unsure of ETA when it will go live though. Lots of major changes going on at the moment. It should be in there during the next push as a field on company. |

Topic: API / Searching/Filtering for Invoices/Projects As mentioned, I love the idea of this – but would like to understand the feature behind it that’s driving it just to ensure I’m capturing the full scope of things. Can you guys let me know why you’d like filtering on things like “updated_at”? I understand open/closed…that’s great. For updated_at are you caching the results or doing live polling or something? |

Topic: API / Searching/Filtering for Invoices/Projects The API will be getting a lot of love as we replace big sections of the app with it, along with the mobile app under development. Keep the ideas coming. |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / Basecamp automatic sync? Hello Viesfeld, No we don’t support automatic Basecamp sync. That would be too much of a drain on our resources, and Basecamp’s. A handful of people have asked for this, but it’s not a big enough thing for us to implement just yet. PS: You’ll probably get better mileage tracking your hours inside Cashboard. We’re a bit more cost effective, and offer more robust time tracking. |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / 'Standard' Paypal Integration? How? Hi HK…when your clients login and view an invoice, they will be presented with an option to “pay online via paypal”. It’s a button you’ll see when viewing an invoice. If you’d like further assistance on this topic, please email support with your subdomain so we can help you in more depth. |

Topic: API / Searching/Filtering for Invoices/Projects I was planning on adding a global “search” as I’m working on the mobile app. It’ll be more like the search within Cashboard where it returns all items. However, adding a “filter” (or search like we have on time entries now) is a good idea. |

Topic: API / API is out of BETA Just added JSON-P support last night and pulled the API officially out of beta. It’s been stable for over a year, so I thought it was a great time to remove that info from the API documentation site. You no longer have to email us to obtain an API key. Simply login to your Cashboard account and visit the Settings screen. API key is located on the right-hand side of the page. You can also regenerate API keys if you need to change them for security reasons. All API keys have been regenerated to fit our new key format. Let me know if you’ve got any questions. |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / Cashboard to Basecamp sync not working for time entries Got back to you on email, but for anyone who ends up searching this out you need to ensure you have the Export checkbox clicked in order to push time entries into Basecamp. You only had the Sync checkbox enabled. Explanation of Basecamp sync options
We give you this level of control so you can ensure you’re doing the right things with your data. We don’t want to clobber anything in either system. This allows you to use Basecamp or Cashboard as the “master” system at any point in your project’s lifecycle. |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / Font on Chrome? Tim, this happened to me with PT Sans on another site. It appears the bug occurs when the font is installed on my system & active. It’s a bug that I’ve logged with Google, but I’m not too sure if they care. Try uninstalling/deactivating Droid if you’ve got it installed on your Mac. If you’re interested the bug is over here More support for it can’t hurt… |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / Marking an employee's active timer "billable" zeroes it.
This is false. Running timers do not get imported onto invoices. It’s prevented and very well tested. |

Topic: Tips & Tricks / Proper Use of Projects (Workflow question) Nope…sounds about right. You need a Project to act as a container for Tasks > Time Entries. This works fine. I would however, not call the project the name of your client. The project name should be a description of the work you’re performing, and the project should belong to your client. For instance, if you had “Client ABC” and you named the project “Client ABC”, you’d end up with stuff in the interface like “Client ABC – Client ABC”. It’s much better to name the project something descriptive like “Consulting work” so you’d see “Client ABC – Consulting work”. - s |
