Topic: Accepting credit cards is too expensive! wow, you’re absolutely right David. I didn’t realize I was paying 4% either with Applied Merchant until now, what a rip. |

Topic: Accepting credit cards is too expensive! Dave, sorry to hear that. I’m working on a partnership agreement with WorldPay right now, so we’ll probably be offering integration with them in the near future. |

Topic: Allow non-admin users to manage tasks Both great suggestions, and have been considered from the get-go. The problem is making the permission system easy and straightforward, yet flexible enough to work for everyone’s needs. Some people want these project “managers” to be able to edit things, but not see dollar amounts, etc. My general philosophy is to sleep on changes that can have a major design impact rather than move on something swiftly and get it very wrong. The only reason this has kept getting pushed back is because I haven’t come up with a great way to accommodate the majority (or even define what the majority is). |

Topic: Showing time entry notes on Timesheet PDF? David – there’s actually a conditional in the Invoice Template that tests to see if that checkbox is set on a per invoice basis. You could remove it if you want it to show for all of your invoices… :) |

Topic: Showing time entry notes on Timesheet PDF? Not sure I understand your question. The only PDF option we have for Timesheets is the Weekly view, so I’m guessing you’re using this. That view doesn’t provide you access to notes. However when you invoice there’s an option on the Details tab that allows you to show time entries. This will include the time entry, and note for each in your invoice. You can PDF that and send it to your clients. |

Topic: Showing time entry notes on Timesheet PDF? Hello: My clients want details. With my current setup I furnish timesheets with details concerning each task for every consultant. Cashboard appears to provide the notes feature so that I can capture this info, but as I’ve been playing around I can only seem to get the task notes to show up on an invoice, and not on an actual timesheet (PDF). |

Topic: New project/task selection widget is less usable Yeah making it larger might be on the agenda. Funny timing on the release of that technique too…I saw that earlier this morning :) |

Topic: New project/task selection widget is less usable David, thanks for the kind words – but the dual-dropdowns will not be returning. It might take you 2 clicks, but for the majority of users it takes 2 clicks per selection, not to mention scrolling (possible 3, for a total of 6). The behavior is different depending on what OS and browser you use. Our new method is consistent across all browsers and all operating systems. Additionally, the old way of working absolutely sucked for large numbers of tasks. There was no concept of sorting tasks by rank or alpha, it was always alpha. This was confusing a lot of people who would meticulously sort their tasks, only to be confronted with an alpha list when logging time. Unfortunately I can’t please everyone all of the time with design decisions – but I do try to accommodate the majority. You do bring up a good point about key usage and I think some keyboard enhancement JS is in this widget’s future. I’ll add it to my enhancements list and circle back around to it. |

Topic: Allow non-admin users to manage tasks I have added a subcontractor to my account, however I find the existing permissions limiting. I would rather this person not be an admin, yet I would like to give them additional privileges. Specifically I want this user to be able to add, edit, and close tasks in any project he/she has access to. Almost like a project manager. In my case, only one person will be tracking time and completing tasks in a project. Rather than me having to manually go in and enter tasks all the time, it would be more efficient if that person could do so. Thanks |

Topic: How to issue a credit David, not explicitly – but what you can do is remove the sales tax from the invoice & save. What I believe should happen is the system will notice the invoice has been overpaid, and you’ll be able to apply the remainder to the next invoice you create. If it doesn’t see the difference, remove the payment from the invoice and re-apply. |
