Topic: Widget not working in xp Updates as they come The problem you all are experiencing is an issue with version 4.5 of Yahoo Widgets. Looks like Yahoo decided to break something when they upgraded the widget library. Those of you on 4.0.2 should be fine, but I’m working on a fix for 4.5+ as I type this. Expect more later… |

Topic: Widget not working in xp Man, I really hate this stupid Yahoo widget... Regardless, I really love you all, so I’ll try my best to see what’s going on with this today. We’ve changed nothing on the server in regards to this, so perhaps a new version of Yahoo widgets broke things. Hope to have more information for you by the end of this week. Meanwhile…make sure you’ve followed the steps here to make sure your Firewall is allowing Yahoo Widgets to connect to the internet. |

Topic: Widget not working in xp I am also unable to use this widget with the same problem… “Getting projects…” just never goes away. We love your product here, but I have to use Harvest’s widget in order to track my time for now and then move it over to Cashboard… Now that you have the CSS/HTML template system complete, Seth (which by the way—thank you!!) can you take a look into trying to get this resolved, as now that there are numerous people having the problem, it’s safe to say it is not user error in inputting credentials. Thanks! Love the product!! |

Topic: Widget not working in xp One more thing – please be sure to try and click the drop-down where it says “Getting projects”. The Yahoo Widget toolbox is really weird, and doesn’t include “real” drop-downs, so the emulated ones we made behave a little strange and not like most people are used to. You might find that the projects are inside there, and the UI is just not updating properly. |

Topic: Widget not working in xp Sorry guys, with some quick debugging I can’t even get this to occur over here. Runs fine on my OS X and XP 2 setups. I am able to log time, and I see no errors on the server. I’m thinking it’s a connection problem, or perhaps configuration problem. Thanks. |

Topic: Widget not working in xp Same for me. Maybe it’s not a local problem, but rather a problem on Cashboard’s end? Anyone have this thing working now? |

Topic: Widget not working in xp Not working for me either on XP SP2. Timer works, but when I try to log time, the drop-down hangs with the “Getting Projects…” message. |

Topic: Widget not working in xp I previously had this widget working on Vista. Recently I plopped down the ole’ format c: and did a reinstall of everything just to freshen things up a bit. After the reformat I can’t get it to work. Obviously it’s a setting somewhere, but I have no idea what I missed. Firewall is off. |

Topic: Widget not working in xp I haven’t been able to reproduce this on my test machine. It’s on my list of things to look into more heavily, after I knock off some more performance bugs and the long-promised configurable HTML/CSS invoices. |

Topic: Widget not working in xp I use xp-home, sp1 (tried sp2 and it was causing too many problems with my other programs) I also use Echolink (a ham radio program) so my security on ZoneAlarm is medium with a UDP and 2 TCP (I think I have the initials correct)ports open. So the widget should be able to get through. I can’t seem to get a connection through on the widget, however the main program works just fine. I just started this job and need to track my hours, as I’m a 1099 contractor paid by the hour. I’m a single mom working for a small business run by a sahm and this free service is a blessing to both she and I. Thank you so much for it. And any suggestions for the widget will be appreciated. |
