Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / something weird with payment screen Here is the screenshot that doesn’t look right: Here are 2 supporting screenshots: the ‘Apply to New Invoices’ box seems out of place here as the invoice (invoice 1) is already listed in the ‘This payment applies to 2 invoices’ box. Also, this screen allows you to enter in totals that exceed the payment amount w/o warning. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Quantum Payment Gateway hmm, after reading this: it looks like quantum (when using auth.net emuation mode) is pretty limited :/ It still might be a decent option for people who want to save money and deal with the limitations (no recurring billing, etc)... * shrug * |

Topic: Liquid Templates / variable for remaining credit? shrug From what I see, cashboard does everything better then everyone else. I’ve used like a dozen online invoicing apps and they all had major faults. I wish I would have taken notes :/ Adding Quantum as a processing gateway would be the icing on the cake! wink |

Topic: Liquid Templates / variable for remaining credit? Just saw on twitter you added a liquid variable. Are you sure you don’t want to add this one? You don’t think it’s useful to show remaining deposit/retainer (via custom template) on an invoice now that deposits are officially supported? |

Topic: Liquid Templates / Multiple Templates Adam.. nice! I like you being able to determine what invoice to use on the fly vs my orig. idea! A slightly more robust solution (that didn’t depend on the way seth format’s his numbers) would be to sum the hourly vs flatfee hours. And then use logic like ‘if flatfee_hours > 0”, etc… Anyway, nice work! This should be the default template :) I’m digging cashboard’s ability to give powerusers… well, power! |

Topic: Liquid Templates / Multiple Templates This is kind of a hack, but since liquid templates supports logic and cashboard supports custom invoice numbers (i think), you could prefix fixed fee invoices with ‘FF’.
Seth, is something like this possible? Although, this is kinda kludgy… shrug |

Topic: Liquid Templates / variable for remaining credit? haha… hmm… I wasn’t suggesting to modify default template, just expose the variable so other people can use it in their custom templates. This still isn’t possible? If it’s not possible due to some design issue.. then… I’ll continue to hand jam it in :/ Thanks! |

Topic: Liquid Templates / variable for remaining credit? Hi, I was just looking through http://info.getcashboard.com/topics/liquid_reference and I didn’t see a way to display the client’s available retainer/deposit balance? example: client pays $2000 retainer. Lawyer invoices $1200 and applies $1200 from retainer and the invoice displays ‘paid in full’. I would like a way to add something along the lines of ‘Remaining retainer balance: $xxx.xx’. Possible? Thanks! |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / 0.0 @ $0.00 ea ? Seth, thx for the quick fix! Along the same lines… when viewing an invoice, does it make sense to show items that are $0 but have a flat fee listed as non-zero (or vise-versa)? IMO, it would look cleaner to not not display items that are == 0. |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / invoice for estimate deposit Seems to me you should just print out the estimate and send them that… and on the estimate it shows the ‘required deposit’ (assuming the bug i just posted gets fixed). |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / 0.0 @ $0.00 ea ? How come when you list $0 for a flat fee, it doesn’t get shown. But when you list “0.0 @ $0.00 ea”, that gets shown… looks kinda messy. What do you guys think? Is this easy to change in the template? It would be nice if the default template handled this the same way as the $0 flat fee… |

Topic: Troubleshooting & Bug Reports / BUG: 'paid in full' present after a payment is deleted from invoice If you create an invoice and apply a payment, it properly displays ‘paid in full’. But if you delete the payment, the ‘paid in full’ text is still present on the invoice. |

Topic: Tips & Tricks / Add No Charge as an option for time entry I would also like to see this added. The ability to properly bill hours and show to the client that they are not being charged for them is pretty important. |

Topic: Feature Requests / Quantum Payment Gateway Hi, I’m wondering if it would be possible for you to support this payment gateway https://www.quantumgateway.com/ along side with authorize.net? Quantum is cheaper and also works in authnet emulation mode… apparently all you need to do is change the url. You don’t need to code up a whole new backend to handle it. You can read about the authnet emulation mode here: Several people over at the webhostingtalk forum have been using it with success… and also saving a lot of $$ in doing so. It would be great and a simple addition that would seperate cashboard from other invoice apps like freshbooks. Thanks! -Rob |
